About Murchison Falls National Park
Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda's largest protected area at 3,840 square kilometers. The park is named after the dramatic Murchison Falls where the Victoria Nile forces its way through a 7-meter gap in the rocks before plunging 43 meters into the Devil's Cauldron. The park is home to elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, hippos, and Nile crocodiles. The northern sector offers excellent game drives while the southern sector features the Budongo Forest for chimpanzee tracking.
